TruckCodeLookup is operated by Solutions Numerix, a sole proprietorship based in Quebec, Canada. The site is an information tool about vehicle fault codes (OBD-II and heavy-duty / J1939).

We keep data collection small and tied to how the product works:

• Strictly necessary authentication cookies: if you sign in, Supabase Auth stores session tokens in first-party cookies (names typically start with sb-). These cookies keep you signed in across visits, use SameSite=Lax and Secure on HTTPS, and are separate from advertising cookies. They are required for the account features you chose (for example My vehicles) and are not part of the AdSense / Consent Mode advertising stack.
• Functional cookies: a theme preference (theme) and a language preference (NEXT_LOCALE).
• Advertising cookies (when active): if Google AdSense is enabled on the site, Google and its partners may set advertising or measurement cookies. See the “Advertising” section below. Advertising consent does not control the authentication session cookies above.
• Anonymous lookup logs: when you look up a fault code, we may store the code text you entered (for example P0420 or SPN 111) in our Supabase database. We do not attach that log to your name, email, or account.
• Missing-code requests: if you use the “code not found” form, we store the code text (and any short notes you add) in the same anonymous log. If you optionally leave an email, it is used only to follow up on that request and may appear in our server logs — it is not sold or used for marketing.

If you sign in with a magic link, we store your email address and your preferred language in Supabase (our authentication and database provider). That preference can sync the site language when you return. We do not ask for a password on the site; sign-in is email-based.

While you stay signed in, a short-lived access token is refreshed automatically using a longer-lived refresh token stored in the authentication cookies. Signing out invalidates the session and clears those cookies. Refresh-token lifetime is configured in our Supabase project (weeks, not unlimited).

We do not sell personal data, build our own advertising profiles, or run a newsletter.

When Google AdSense is active, ad delivery and personalization are handled by Google under its own policies (see the Advertising section).

TruckCodeLookup uses Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-7140692801613773). Ad serving is currently pending Google’s program review; until approval, ad units may not display.

When AdSense is active, Google and its partners may use cookies, mobile identifiers, or similar technologies to serve ads, measure performance, and personalize ad delivery based on your visits to this and other sites.

Diagnostic pages may include Amazon.ca product search links under “Parts that may be involved.” Links combine a generic part name with year/make/model text when you have decoded a VIN — they are search results, not a Confirmed Fit or Garage-validated listing. Exact compatibility must be checked on Amazon or with the seller before purchase.
